It was simply wonderful and I was along with others ‘spellbound’.:スクールコンサートへのメッセージ

先日本校で行われた東日本大震災の為のチャリティーコンサートに来て下さったイギリス人の方々からメッセージが届きましたので、以下にご紹介致します。

Dear Headmaster

Please forgive my e-mailing this rather than sending a hand written note (which I know is correct), but I wanted this to get to the school before the end of term and I am not sure when you actually close for the holiday.

I just want to say thank you for inviting me to the concert yesterday and for letting me bring my friend.  We both thoroughly enjoyed the evening and it was a delight to see so many young people performing so well.  There is obviously a wealth of talent within the school, with some outstanding young musicians, but it was not only the talent on display that we enjoyed, it was seeing those not quite so talented being given the opportunity to perform on the stage and so clearly enjoying the experience.

Please pass our thanks and congratulations to Brenda Medelssohn, the other staff members who supported and encourage the students and finally to the students themselves.

Very sincerely

Dear Headmaster

I just wished to place on record my admiration for and enjoyment of your End of Term Concert last night at the school. It was simply wonderful and I was along with others ‘spellbound’. The highlight was Yuriko’s performance of Mendelssohn’s Concerto in E minor OP.64 which as you noticed brought me and others in the audience to their feet and rightly so.

Every time I attend a Rikkyo event it is such a pleasure talking with the staff and students who are so friendly, happy and helpful. I am therefore naturally pleased to be associated with what evidently a happy and productive school.

I understand from one of the staff I spoke to on my way out that you have an event in early October? I look forward to receiving details of this and will of course be eager to attend if I am available.

Best wishes to all at Rikkyo and enjoy the summer break!

Yours sincerely
